I gathered heaps of ref to study in order to better gleam the genius behind the works of the most beautiful artists. In this case, I studied Akira Kurosawa's "The Bad Sleep Well" and kit bashed some compositions in blender. Most of the backgrounds were modeled from textures I found online or stock photos.
